The Tutti Frutti Fizz mix is designed for gardeners who want instant, high-impact colour without having to wait years for perennials to establish. Every species flowers in the first season from a spring sowing, giving you a full, vibrant display by midsummer – ideal for borders, raised beds, containers, or anywhere you need a quick, bold result.

Sow directly into prepared soil in early autumn or from March to May. Choose an open, sunny location with well-drained soil. Remove existing grass and weeds to reduce competition and lightly rake the surface before sowing.

Scatter seeds evenly and press down gently, do not bury them deeply. Keep the soil moist during germination, which typically takes 1–3 weeks. Once established, this mix is low-maintenance and drought-tolerant.

Deadhead flowers regularly to prolong blooming or allow them to go to seed for natural regeneration next year. These annuals complete their life cycle within a year but can re-establish themselves with light soil disturbance.

Garden lawn seed, wildflower seeds, and wildflower seed mixtures are typically dispatched within 1 to 2 working days.

Q1: When is the best time to sow the Tutti Frutti mix?

For a first-summer display, sow in early spring between March and May. Autumn sowing (August–September) is also possible in sheltered or milder locations and can produce slightly earlier establishment the following spring.

Q2: Will the flowers bloom in the first year?

Yes. The Tutti Frutti mix is composed entirely of annual species, meaning all of them will flower in the first growing season from a spring sowing – typically within 8–12 weeks of sowing.

Q3: Can I use this mix in containers or raised beds?

Yes. The compact annual habit of most species in the mix makes it well suited to containers, raised beds, window boxes, and other confined growing spaces. Use a free-draining compost and water regularly during dry periods.
