Grazing and Dual Purpose Grass Seed
Designed specifically for use as dual-purpose leys, our traditional and long-term grazing grass seed blends are versatile mixtures which pair perennial ryegrass (diploid and tetraploid varieties) with tetraploid grasses, timothy, and blends of white or red clover for high-protein forage, nitrogen fixing, and good yields. For early turnout, sow at the recommended sowing rate and sow within the target rate for even establishment. The open growth habit of these grass seed mixtures allows light into the sward, helping it recover after cutting and grazing.
Perennial ryegrass with white clover delivers nitrogen fixing and soil nitrogen, helping increase protein levels and overall protein levels for cattle, sheep, horses, and mixed livestock. These blends are quick to establish, hardy in dry conditions, and show strong cutting suitability for silage or hay, while staying productive for many years. Balanced varieties and a high percentage of perennial ryegrass give reliable grazing performance and cutting quality across a broad range; the grass species in these mixes help to fill thin areas, support mineral uptake, and perform as a dual-purpose mix farmers expect from a brand they know and trust.
