Water gently during dry spells to support germination. Flowering will typically begin from the second year, as many species are biennial or perennial. Some annual flowers may appear in the first season, offering early colour while perennials establish.

Cut back the border once a year in late summer or autumn after flowering and seed-setting are complete. Remove cuttings to prevent excess thatch and allow light in for regrowth.

Q1: When will I see flowers?
A: You may see a few blooms in the first summer, but the majority will appear from year two onward, as most species are perennial or biennial.

Q2: Do I need to re-sow each year?
A: No. This mix is designed to naturalise and return annually. An annual cut is all that’s needed to maintain the area.

Q3: Can I sow this mix over grass?
A: For best results, sow onto bare soil. If sowing into grass, the area must be very short and weed-free to give wildflowers a chance to establish.

Q4: Is this mix good for pollinators?
A: Absolutely. It includes many nectar- and pollen-rich native species that support bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.
