- Feed lightly, if needed. Apply a low-nitrogen
lawn feed once the lawn is established, especially in poor soils.
- Control weeds manually. Avoid herbicides in
the first 6 months, hand-weed or spot-treat if necessary.
- Aerate as needed. In compacted or high-traffic areas, consider aerating in spring or autumn to improve root health.
- Monitor and reseed bare patches. Overseed thin areas in early autumn or spring to maintain full coverage.
