Choosing the right wildflowers for your site

Bespoke Wildflower Seed Mixtures

We specialise in creating bespoke wildflower mixtures, carefully shaped around your soil, your setting, and your goals for the landscape.

Every garden, wildflower meadow, verge or landscape is unique. The light levels, moisture, soil type, and wildlife all influence which wildflowers will succeed. A bespoke mixture is perfect if you need something specific, such as for acidic soil, or woodland edge, and are eager to create a wildflower meadow designed to support bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects.

With a bespoke wildflower mixture tailored to your green space, you’ll typically get;

From chalky banks to heavy clay meadows, we grow UK native wildflower seed across varied conditions, letting us design tailored seed mixes that work naturally with your land.

Describe your site & goals

To create the right mix for your space, we start by learning a little about it. How much light does it get? Is it in full sun, dappled shade, or something in between? Is the soil heavy, light, nutrient-poor or chalky? And what are you hoping to grow: a colourful meadow, a species-rich patch, or a place designed for certain insects to thrive? The more you can tell us, the better we can tailor your mix.

Build Your Custom Seed Mix

With a sense of your site, we can guide you toward mixtures that will feel most at home there. Shadier spaces suit species that cope well with fewer hours of direct light; heavier clay soils benefit from deep-rooted perennials; and new meadows designed for pollinators flourish with nectar-rich blends. If none of our standard mixes are quite right, we can shape a bespoke blend for your landscape, adding species such as Yellow Rattle, which can help control the dominance of grasses and encourage diversity.

Blending your bespoke seed mix

After you’ve confirmed your mix, our team in Kent prepares it by hand, measuring and blending each species to the right proportions. Every bag is clearly labelled and weighed, so you know exactly what you’re sowing.

Bringing your vision to life

We don’t just sell bespoke mixes of British native wildflower seed, we also provide advice on sowing wildflower seed , aftercare, and long-term management. Whether you’re creating a wildflower meadow or restoring a species-rich area, we’re here to offer support at every stage.

Above are two examples of bespoke mixtures we’ve created for very different projects. The first is a wetland wildflower meadow mix, designed to support restoration of a wetland site where the ground remained damp for much of the year. The second is a bright, cornfield annual blend created for a school, bringing colour, wildlife and a sensory boost to an outdoor learning space. Both demonstrate how a tailored mixture can be shaped to suit the site, the conditions and those who will enjoy it.

With years of experience producing and processing British wildflowers, the bespoke mixes we offer are rooted in an understanding of where native wild plants naturally thrive.

“We sowed a meadow mix and a flowering lawn mix from you last autumn and it’s been brilliant!” 🌼 The mixtures we supplied this customer surround a stunning garden studio designed by @LowellDesign – “a place to rewind and reset… inspired by rural Scottish bothies and charred timber, created as a retreat for creativity, reflection, and calm.” Nestled into a tapestry of wildflowers and fine grasses, the studio feels truly part of the landscape. This project is a lovely example of how wildflowers and grasses can transform soft landscaping – creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but that also support biodiversity, improve soil health, and offer year-round interest for people and wildlife alike. ✨ A place to feel grounded, peaceful, and at home, for people and pollinators.
