Rich in flowering plants and legumes, this mix supports bees, butterflies, beetles, and soil-dwelling organisms. By improving soil health naturally, you reduce reliance on artificial fertilisers and boost the long-term productivity and resilience of your growing space.

Sow the mix in spring (March–May) or autumn (August–October) for best results. Choose a cleared, weed-free site with minimal competition from grasses. Lightly rake the soil surface and broadcast the seed evenly, then gently press into the soil, avoid burying it deeply.

Keep the area moist during germination, which typically occurs within 2–3 weeks, depending on temperature and conditions. Once established, the plants are drought-tolerant and require little care.

You can cut back the mix after flowering to encourage regrowth or leave seed heads in place to support wildlife through autumn and winter. Over time, this mix helps build healthier, more self-sustaining soils.
